Have you ever worried about what others think of you? How did it affect your actions or decisions? Share a personal experience and use hypophora at least once in your response.

As much as I hate to admit it I think I do sometimes worry what others think of me. When I am meeting new people or being introduced to someones friends I overthink what I say or do because I am worried to face any judgment. One time I went to a new gym for volleyball for group training. I new no one there and was more worried about judgement then playing my best. This made me realize, why should I be worried about what others think of me if it impacts my life negatively? After this experience I relised that you shouldn't be worried or focused on how other people see you but only on how you see yourself. I also realized that confidence plays a key role in how you interact with others and how you view yourself.

Summay: Today in class we learned about hypophora, rhetorical questions, and procatalepsis and completed excersizes regarding those terms.

Reflection: I have never learned about hypophora and procatalepsis in depth before and I think that doing so helped me understand them better. I think that knowing this figurative language and how its used, will make it easier to identify in other passages on the AP exam.

With 4.5-week grades posting on September 2, reflect on your experience in AP Language so far. What has been going well for you, what has been challenging, and what is one thing you need to improve moving forward?

Think about a time when you made a claim or gave an opinion, but someone asked you, “Why?” or “How do you know?” Describe the situation. What evidence did you use to support your point, and why is explaining your evidence just as important as providing it?

Write about a fear you have overcome.
